Everyone is welcome here at Base Camp and we are working very hard to make our Victorian Grade 2 listed building accessible to everyone.
We have four steps up to our front door and another three from the porch into our venue. From here, all ground floor rooms are accessible.
We have a portable wheelchair ramp that brings customers in the back door and provides step free access to all our main rooms. We are working hard to secure funding to create a new dedicated disabled access door and hope to have news on this by Summer 2021. In the meantime, if you require access by wheelchair, please email Jemma on firstname.lastname@example.org and chat through your requirements. It really helps us if you can give us 24 hour notice although we know this is not always possible.
We have a very small car park but lots of on street parking to the back of the building. If you let us know in advance that you require a disabled parking space we may be able to cone off a space for you. Please email Jemma on email@example.com at least 24 hours in advance of your visit.
Low level bar
Our Gallery room has a low level bar that is accessible to wheelchair users.
We have an accessible toilet between our two main rooms. There is a slight ramp down into the room where this is located.
On busy nights we always endeavour to dedicate one of our smaller rooms as a quiet space. This will be labelled but do ask any of our staff where it is located as it will depend what event we have on.
Free personal assistant tickets
We offer free personal assistant tickets for all our events. Please contact Jemma@tenfeettall.co.uk to arrange this and chat to her about any additional requirements you may have.
Base Camp welcomes customers who may need to bring medication, food, drink or medical equipment to manage a medical condition. We may be able to keep medication refrigerated for you. Please just let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
If your require early access to the venue, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can open our doors 15 minutes before doors.
In the event of a fire alarm, we have a number of different fire routes depending on how the building is configured for that particular event. Please let our staff know when you arrive that you may require special assistance in the event of an evacuation.
We welcome assistance dogs into the venue and will happily provide a bowl of water if needed. However, not all events are suitable so please contact us before hand. We may be able to offer a location where the dog could stay during the gig, but please get in touch to discuss this further.
We do not have strobe lighting at the venue, but from time to time bands and promoters may choose to bring it with them. In the event this happens, signs will be displayed on the evening. Please get in touch if you have any concerns.
